Let's go racing!  This pattern (US terms) will guide you to crochet a Formula 1 Racing Car, as shown in pictures, made using sport weight cotton yarn and crochet hook size C (2,5 mm). 
Finished size will be approx. (l w h) 11” x  4.7“ x 4” (28 x 12 x 10 cm). 
If you wish to make a larger or smaller version of this amigurumi, you can just use thicker or thinner yarn with a matching size crochet hook. If so, you will need different amounts of yarn and different sizes of plastic canvas and chenille wire than stated in the materials list.
 
This pattern is also suitable for wool or acrylic yarn. SMC Catania Cotton was used to create the racing cars in the pictures.
In this pattern, you will be working in rows, as well as in continuous rounds.
 
Skill level: intermediate (for crocheting, as well as for joining / pinning / sewing parts together)
 
Gauge: not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
 
Materials used:
- crochet hook size C (2,5 mm)
- yarn; yellow (approx. 75 gr, 205 yds, 187 m), black (approx. 40 gr, 109 yds, 100 m), light grey (approx. 7 gr, 19 yds, 17 m), small amounts of blue and white
- fiberfill stuffing, stitch markers, tapestry needle (sharp tip), long pins, scissors, tweezers, measuring tape
- cotton yarn or embroidery floss in blue and white, optional: sewing thread in black
- plastic canvas (7” mesh, approx. 7” x 2” (18 x 5 cm)), chenille wire (2 strands)
- decoration of personal choice, for example iron-on emblems.
 
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increasing, decreasing, magic circle
