Jimmy the frog wants to go fishing! Will you come and join him?
 
This pattern describes in US terminology how to crochet an adorable little frog as shown in pictures, made using acrylic DK yarn and crochet hook E (3.5 mm). Instructions for the jacket, fishing rod and fish are also included.
Finished size will be approx. 10” (25 cm) tall. If you wish to make a larger or smaller version of this frog, you can just use thicker or thinner yarn with a matching size crochet hook.
If so, you will need different amounts of yarn and different size safety eyes than stated in the materials list.
 
This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn. Stylecraft Special DK was used to create the amigurumi in the pictures. The frog will be worked in continuous rounds, the jacket and eyelids will be worked in rows.
 
Skill level: advanced beginner / intermediate
Gauge: is not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.

- Crochet hook size E (3.5 mm)
- Yarn in green (approx. 75 gr, 240 yds, 220 m), smaller amounts in blue, white, brown, orange, and black
- Fiberfill stuffing, safety eyes 9 mm, chenille wire, optional: plastic canvas (for sturdy feet)
- Stitch marker, tapestry needle, pins, white sewing thread
 
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, magic circle, increasing, decreasing
